MIRP: Tell me what it would mean to you to perform at Wacken 2020?

DND7: We’ve been played in 63 countries this year and Wacken would be our chance to really reach out to our foreign fan base about the message we are sending through our music.

MIRP: What do you think it is about your band that would be the best fit?

DND7: We think our performance and energy would really stand out and mesh with the atmosphere of the festival. Just look at our bass player, that guy is gonna need a new neck by the age of 30.

MIRP: Sizing up your competition in a friendly manner…who are you most worried about?

DND7: Everyone, it’s a fantastic lineup that will push every band to perform their very best on stage.

MIRP: Playing this battle of the bands…what will you do differently, now that there is a big prize at stake?

DND7: Every performance we think has a “prize at stake”. For us every show is an opportunity to perform our hearts out whether or not its 3 people or 10,000 people, we focus on keeping that energy high from start to finish.

MIRP: If you are chosen as the band to go to Wacken, how do you feel about performing in front of 75,000 people?

DND7: We as a group feed off the crowd energy, when you can feel the roar of a crowd it moves you to perform on a new level you never knew existed. For us it also means we get the opportunity to spread our message to more individuals through the music and performance we put on.

MIRP: Who was the first band that made you want to be a musician?

DND7 (Jonny Wilson): Red Hot Chili Peppers

DND7 (Ethan Short):  Metallica

DND7 (Chase Colson): Foo Fighters

MIRP: If you could only pick two bands to listen to for the next year, who would you choose?

DND7 (Ethan Short): CCR, Metallica

DND7 (Jonny Wilson): Linkin Park, Green Day

DND7 (Chase Colson): Muse, Alter Bridge

MIRP: Tell me what your dream is if you were chosen to play at Wacken 2020?

DND7 (Jonny Wilson): “Crowd surf, I want to crowd surf soooo baddd.”

DND7 (Chase Colson): “To grab a drink and chat with my idols, yeah…that would be awesome.”

DND7 (Ethan Short): “I would want to guest perform with one of my idol bands.”

MIRP: In the list of performers below, who have you seen before?

DND7 (Jonny Wilson): As I Lay Dying
