In one of the most powerful videos I’ve ever seen, The Ghost Inside have made a video for the song “Aftermath” that will spark a variety of emotions in you. In just a little over five minutes running time, I personally cringed, cried, winced, put my hand over my eyes….and I cried. But I also felt the most amazing feeling of triumph, joy, comfort, determination, endurance, patience, and perseverance. What an amazing brotherhood of men The Ghost Inside has created. I think in communicating their true story of their triumph and tragedy, we can all feel hope. I have goosebumps on my arms and the back of my neck as I write this and I saw the video 10 minutes ago.
The power is in the song as much as it is in the video. The honesty is well communicated through the vivid imagery of the experience peppered throughout the video, and in the raw emotion successfully done by vocalist Jonathan Vigil.
Pride overshadows the pit in your stomach as you watch the video; it is powerful beyond words.
