Art of Dying is a five piece hard rock band from Vancouver, Canada.  Their six song EP entitled “Nevermore “ was released on September 2, 2016.

To me, this EP sounds like Nickleback or Hinder joined forces with Alice in Chains. You’ll find elements of all of the above in these songs.  Art of Dying has a unique and satisfying three-part harmony which makes the full sound of the guitars complete.

The quality of this release is stunning.  It is fat, full, bright, and shiny,  Its light metal with nice memorable choruses.  The lyrics are about hardship, being strong enough to walk away from what doesn’t suit you, and self empowerment.  It’s a short EP with a running time of just over 20 minutes.

Disturbed’s David Draiman has taken interest in this band and taken them under his wings and thrown them right into the fire. “The band introduced guitarist Tavis Stanley and bassist Cale Gontier to their ranks on the eve of the run with DISTURBED – the quartet playing onstage together for the very first time during the soundcheck of the opening show of the tour. But suddenly, everything clicked…It felt like the band I had always been looking for and that tour went brilliantly for us – it was the catalyst for us to step up to another level.”

In addition to Disturbed, Art of Dying has toured with Seether and Theory of a Deadman.
