Before last night’s show began, Powerglove came out and made a brief announcement.  They informed us that they would be a man down for the show due to Gabriel Guardian (touring guitarist and keyboardist) having to be rushed to the hospital for an emergency appendectomy.  For those in attendance, we will be the first to say that even with only two members on stage, they still put on one heck of a show.

On all social media platforms Powerglove said the following:

Portland: We have some unfortunate news. We have just received word that our touring guitarist/keyboardist, Gabriel Guardian, has to have an emergency appendectomy tonight and therefore will obviously not be able to perform with us tonight. We love our brother Gabriel and wish him a speedy recovery.

We just received this news ourselves, so we will keep everyone posted with updates as they come. That being said, we are going to do our best to still play a kickass show for you guys tonight in Portland!

Gabriel Guardian had this to say on Facebook:

Hello friends and family, I could really use all your good vibes right now!

What started as a perfectly fine morning ended as the most intense pain I’ve ever felt in my life. Went to hospital, Turns out my appendix sucks and it needs to be surgically taken out

IM SO SORRY PORTLAND, I WILL NOT BE PLAYING TONIGHT. Hope you understand! If all goes well I should be shredding by tomorrow in Seattle, at the latest Canada… Doctor said if I never came in, things could have gotten as bad as death due to infections etc… so glad I came!  I’ll keep y’all updated, wish me luck as I’m about to go through surgery so I can get better and keep entertaining!
