American heavy rock band LAMB OF GOD have just revealed the official music video for the brand new track “Overlord”. As with “512”, “Overlord” is directed by Jorge Torres-Torres.
“Overlord” is the second official music video to be released in support of the band’s upcoming seventh full-length album,VII: Sturm Und Drang, hitting stores and digital retailers on July 24, 2015 via Epic Records.
In addition to listening to “Overlord” on Spotify, fans can also pre-order VII: Sturm Und Drang via iTunes and Amazonand receive this song + “512” and “Still Echoes” as instant-grat tracks. Several exclusive pre-order bundles are available via http://smarturl.it/vii-preorder.
“Overlord” is what some may consider the most unique and versatile track on the record – a new play on the reveredLAMB OF GOD sound. The track “Overlord” uniquely features clean vocals and lyrics penned by vocalist Randy Blythe, and the video itself features his own personal concept and treatment.
“For years I've wished that I could have a movie camera directly linked to my brain so that some of the ideas I see in my mind's eye could be translated into film for others to watch,” Blythe begins. “Although that is obviously an impossibility (and probably a good thing- I find many things amusing that might not be so funny to everyone else), the video for "Overlord" is the next best thing for me. I came up with the idea and wrote the treatment for this video myself- to see Jorge (the director) take my concept, add his own touches, and use his technical know-how to translate my "mental script" into a suitably dark visual narrative is just an awesome, awesome experience for me.
I wrote the song about the dangers of self-obsession in our distressingly myopic and increasingly entitled "me-now/now-me" culture; just like the couple in the video, many people can't seem to look past their own relatively small problems to see the bigger picture: the world is in serious trouble. Having a bad day at work, or a fight with your significant other, or getting a crappy haircut or table service does not in any way shape or form constitute an emergency. Sometimes things just don't work out the way we want them to- deal with it. People who only see their own problems eventually wind up alone because no one wants to hear their crap anymore- we all know someone like that, always whining and complaining about some inconsequential setback as if it were the apocalypse. This song is for those people.
Oh yeah- if you're out and about, watching the video on your pocket hate machine (mobile phone), try not to wander into traffic. A little situational awareness goes a long way."
VII: Sturm Und Drang is once again produced and mixed by Josh Wilbur with engineering by Wilbur, Nick Rowe, and Kyle McAulay, and was recorded at NRG Recording Studios in North Hollywood, CA and Suburban Soul Studios in Torrance, CA. LAMB OF GOD’s last album, the 2012 Grammy-nominated Resolution, debuted at #3 on the US Billboard Top 200, #1 on the US Top Hard Rock and Rock Album charts, #2 on the Canadian albums chart, and #3 on the Australian albums chart.

ABOUT LAMB OF GOD:
Richmond, VA natives LAMB OF GOD originally formed in 1994 as Burn The Priest while in college together at Virginia Commonwealth University, initially performing in meagre venues and hocking rough demos amongst the local scene. In 1998, the band changed their moniker to LAMB OF GOD, which would mark their impending ascension to top-tier status, as well as one of the only tangible career deviations that the band would ever undertake – having consistently released chart-topper after chart-topper while maintaining a true and constant line-up of members and increasingly growing fanbase; a rarity in modern music. The band’s first major release, 2000’s New American Gospel, was immediately touted as an instant metal classic. AllMusic stated it best, “The essential signatures of post-Pantera metal are in abundance on Lamb of God's inaugural album. New American Gospel provides a mighty oak upon which gritty American metal's faith is maintained, effectively bridging the '90s' insistence upon drill-sergeant technicality and the old school's determined focus on riff construction.”
In 2007, just a short time after putting out monumentally successful releases Ashes of the Wake (Album, 2004, #27 of 200 debut), Killadelphia (DVD, 2004, RIAA Platinum), and Sacrament (Album, 2006, #8 of 200 debut), LAMB OF GOD was honored with a Grammy nomination for the track “Redneck”. This would mark the first of four Grammy nominations for the band. After the release of Walk With Me In Hell (DVD, 2008), the second and third Grammy nominations came in 2010 and 2011 for tracks “Set to Fail” and “In Your Words”, both cut from Wrath (CD, 2009, #2 of 200 debut). The fourth nomination arrived for the band’s track “Ghost Walking”, cut from their 2012 album Resolution (CD, #3 of 200 debut). Now, on the cusp of releasing their seventh full-length album VII: Sturm Und Drang, the five-piece is poised to prove their lasting consistency by offering another blistering contribution of the highest quality heavy metal – a record that no one other than LAMB OF GOD could truly execute.
Having amassed the globe with countless world tours and millions of albums sold, all-the-while overcoming countless hurdles ranging from personal demons to vocalist Randy Blythe’s 2013 trial in Prague (which resulted in the acclaimed 2014 full-length feature documentary, As The Palaces Burn, and upcoming book, Dark Days: A Memoir, authored by the frontman and releasing in July), LAMB OF GOD stands the test of time as the biggest, most influential heavy metal band of the new millennium.
LAMB OF GOD is:
Randy Blythe - vocals
Mark Morton - guitar
Willie Adler - guitar

New Album “Delta” Coming August 2015 via Round Hill Records
Produced by Marti Frederiksen (Aerosmith, Brother Cane)
Mixed by Alain Johannes (Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures)
Mastered by Howie Weinberg (Metallica, Nirvana)
Emerging Boston-based hard rock band RUBIKON may be about to break out into the scene with their new track “Live That Lie”, but the band is nothing but new. Nearing roughly fourteen years of performing and recording, the band broke out into the rock world with a pair of EPs in 2001 and 2002 before releasing their first full album, The Hollow Men, in 2004.
Fast forward to today, as RUBIKON prepares to release their brand new album Delta, featuring the aforementioned track “Live That Lie”. Read below to learn more about RUBIKON and Delta, and listen along by sampling a taste of the new album via an exclusive “Live That Lie” stream – available for listening now via Revolvermag.com:http://www.revolvermag.com/news/rubikon-premiere-new-song-live-that-lie.html
Unlike many veteran groups that try to continuously change their sound to fit trends, Delta (releasing August 2015) is a return to form – an exploration of RUBIKON’s roots, if you will. When planning their new material, the band tapped producer Marti Frederiksen (Aerosmith, Brother Cane), who inspired the band to reach back to an organic sound. The resulting album, Delta, was recorded at Quad Studios in Nashville, TN and mixed by Alain Johannes (Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures), and finally, mastered by Howie Weinberg (Metallica, Nirvana). RUBIKONrecorded the album live, with minimal overdubs, and completed the album over just two weekends.
Pre-orders for Delta are set to launch in early July.
“Live That Lie” was the very first song written for the new album. Vocalist/drummer DR comments, ““Live That Lie” is reflective of where we are in our lives, both musically and personally. We're older, we care a lot less about what people think, and we are definitely a more weathered and resilient version of our younger selves. The first line in the song says it all – “Well I've been knocked down and kicked, and lied to...””
RUBIKON tastefully merges layers of progressive hard rock riffs, soaring melodic vocals, complex harmonic structures, mile-high atmospherics and claustrophobic metallic outbursts into a flavorful musical mixture. RUBIKON has taken this potent combination on the road countless times – touring the country and performing hundreds of shows to folks all across the nation. RUBIKON has performed with the likes of Damageplan, Trivium, Shadows Fall, Nonpoint, Nothingface, Dog Fashion Disco, and others.
The launch of “Live That Lie” and the impending build up to the release of Delta is the beginning of a new chapter forRUBIKON – one that harks back to old stories and raw sound, but that is nothing but fresh and exciting. Stay tuned for more exclusives, tracks, videos and more coming from RUBIKON in the coming weeks!

Acquire (release date TBA). The group features Mike Matejick, former guitarist for the Rise Records band Of Machines and is currently managed by The Artery Foundation.
"The video for 'Lost' follows the premise of an inner struggle between good and evil," says Matejick. "It is a literal adaptation of the title itself... a lost soul who can't give up a part of himself to move forward. We are all lost until we find balance within ourselves."
